Zus Coffee is well-known for its coffee, but you may be surprised to learn that this isn't the first time they've served mouldy food to their customers.
The previous time they went viral for this was when a customer purchased their Soya Cincau Cheesecake and after eating it, she realized there was something wrong since it tasted sour. She was surprised to see mould in the cake.
Now, you'd think they'd take action by now to avoid such incidents, but a similar issue occurred a few days ago, and this time the customer was greeted with a mould Firecracker Chicken Sausage Roll. She took to Twitter to share a photo of the contaminated meal as well as the receipt as proof.
What should be done, one Twitter user asked.
And she remarked that they should apologize first, then return the customer's money - not only for the contaminated meal but for the entire bill. She further stated that they should avoid providing the customer a voucher because they would certainly not return after such incident.
Finally, if necessary, offer medical reimbursement for the following two weeks. Since then, ZUS Coffee has contacted the concerned customer and given a complete refund as well as medical compensation, saying that the chiller at their KL East Mall shop malfunctioned, causing the contamination.
What would you've done if this happened to you?
