Nature is really full of surprises!
A zebra in Chyulu Hills National Park in Kenya recently gives birth to a baby. “It had stripes, but they weren't dark and barely covered her body,” CNN reported. Turns out, it is actually a hybrid between a zebra and a donkey. Hence, the name zonkey.
According to a news release by Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, an animal rescue group, the female zebra “become acquainted with an amorous donkey” when she was with a local cattle herd after venturing out of Kenya's Tsavo East National Park.
Guess this is how the zonkey is born, eh?

“The zonkey combines the sturdy body of its donkey sire and the striped legs of its zebra mother, which makes for a striking creature,” said the rescue group.
The zonkey looks soooo adorable! Isn’t this amazing? What do you think?
