The saying goes "one man's trash is another man's treasure", but what if your trash can also be YOUR treasure? During the new year, many people have been spending time spring cleaning their houses. With minimalism catching on, anything that has been unused for a while would most likely be thrown away so that the house looks tidier and cleaner. However, once you're done with spring cleaning, don't be too quick to throw away all the trash!
A Malaysian netizen, Neyra, shared on her Twitter about an app that allowed her to change the things that she had cleared out while spring cleaning for cash! She told her followers "don't keep your trash, turn all trash for cash" while sharing about the "Trash4Cash" app. She also shared that it was her 2nd time using their services and was able to earn up to RM46.32!
Here are the steps:
1. Go to the Google App Store and download the "Trash4Cash" app. (Unavailable in iOS App Store for now)
2. Request for a pickup using the app. The app will arrange for a representative to come to your house. (Pick-up service is free!)
3. Their representatives will weigh your items and transfer the cash to you online.
Newspapers, paper, plastic, glass bottles, aluminum cans, and scrap metal are all accepted, but every material goes for a different price. We suggest you pre-separate all items first so as to save time when their representatives arrive.
Neyra also reminded her followers to separate black and white paper from colored paper. This is because black and white paper go for RM0.35/kg while colored paper go for RM0.15/kg, that's a whole 20 cents per kg difference. The Trash4Cash service currently covers Selangor, Putrajaya, Perlis, Kedah, Perak, and Penang. To find out more, you can head to their website at trash4cash.biz and call their listed numbers.
Wouldn't it be great to turn the things you don't want into money (which we all want) without having to leave the house? Trash4Cash does exactly that! Plus, by transferring the money to you online, we even reduce the amount of human contact required! Try it out today and remember, good things are meant to be shared!
