This man anonymously posted on the Xuan Play Facebook page about his relationship.
He disclosed that his credit card debt has been jacked up to RM27k as a result of their date nights and travel expenditures.
It does make sense why he would pile up such an enormous bill given that they rarely split the tab for their fancy dinner date nights.
He added that since they've been dating for the past two years, his expenses have increased dramatically because his girlfriend comes from a wealthy family.
He acts in this manner in order to maintain a high standard and avoid disappointing his partner by taking her to fancy restaurants like Haidilao, where the cost might easily reach RM200 plus each time.
In addition to the cost of food, his girlfriend would insist that they go on holidays, for which he would claim, "I have to bear all the expenses by myself."
As a result, over the course of a year, he has accumulated an enormous amount of debt on his credit card.
Each month, he makes the bare minimum payment required, which results in the interest building up and prevents him from obtaining a good night's rest.
Although he considered discussing this with his girlfriend, he said that he would not be able to stand the disappointed look on her face and was worried that she would be ashamed of and disgusted by him.
His total credit card debt has grown to RM27k, and he is left wondering if he is a failure as a person since he is afraid to tell his loved ones about his financial problems.
Internet users have taken the time to express their opinions on this, and many have urged him to talk to his girlfriend about it.
What do you think he should do if you were him?
