Police are hunting for a male suspect who snatched a gold necklace from a cosmetic store worker in Jalan Sekerat, Sungai Petani.
Kuala Muda District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Zaidy Che Hassan, stated in a press release that the incident occurred on Tuesday, around 10:30 in the morning.

"During the incident, the victim was inside the cosmetic store when an unknown male customer wearing a red helmet entered. The suspect indicated an interest in buying a product and inquired about one of the items."
"While the store worker was providing an explanation, the suspect suddenly snatched the gold necklace from the victim's neck. The victim attempted to resist and fell," he said.
The investigation is being conducted based on closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage available in the store. The victim also reportedly sustained bruising on the neck due to the incident. The case is being investigated under Section 392 of the Penal Code.
