A cautionary tale of being aware of not only your surroundings, but your vehicles as well, a local man managed to avoid an extremely dangerous situation when he discovered that somebody had planted suspected drugs on his motorcycle last Tuesday.
The incident had gone viral on social media recently, when the individual had revealed that someone had place drugs that were suspected to be methamphetamine or horse tranquilizers in the bottom of his motorcycle storage box.
"Fate is still on the side of our 'Run SGD' comrades. Fortunately, the I noticed before entering Singapore. Someone has put horse pills (methamphetamine) under the motorcycle 'box'. Be careful for all 'Run SGD' comrades" he said.
South Johor Bahru District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat said in a statement, that the 37-year-old man, a welder working in Singapore, was shocked when he realized that a prohibited substance was stashed away in his motorcycle as he was filling up his fuel tank at a petrol station in the Majidee area at 6.41am.
"The complainant saw a plastic packet containing two red pill-like items under the motorcycle's luggage box. The complainant threw the item in the area of the gas station"
"The investigation carried out by the police yesterday evening after the police report was received, failed to locate the items involved in the specified location," Selamat stated, also confirming that further investigation is underway to locate the suspect involved in the incident.
