As the environmental consciousness increase among the public, more and more people start to use handmade soap instead of commercially bottled body shampoo or hair shampoo.
It has become a trend among the public to choose environmental-friendly products instead of choosing a cheaper chemical shampoo that will release harmful pollutants to our ecosystem. However, if you know how to use the expensive handmade soap effectively, you may protect the environment without hurting your wallet.
1. Soap saver
Compare to the soap dish, soap bag could extend the life of the soap. As we know the soap dish is generally made of wood, ceramic, or plastic.
If the wet and slippery soap is put on these surfaces, it will fall off easily and break into two. The remaining small pieces of the soaps could be gathered and put into the soap bags for easier utilization.
Besides that, by using the soap bag, it is easier to dry the soap between uses by hanging it compared to keeping it in the soap dish.
2. Help to lather
Soap bag could be a lathering tool, it will help to reduce the usage of the soap.
The lathering function helps us to remove dirt from our skin more effectively compared to the soap without soap bags. And lathering gives us a more pleasant experience in the shower as compared to using a soap dish which doesn’t help to lather at all.
3. Easy to clean and more hygienic
Compared to the wooden, ceramic, and plastic soap dish, soap bags easy to be washed and dried.
The melted soap will stick to the surface of the soap dish and create a layer of slime on it. If we didn’t clean it frequently, it will be a great place for the bad bacteria to grow and our soap will become rancid soap. Therefore, to save the troublesome cleaning job, we may choose to use a soap bag instead of a soap dish.
4. Gentle Skin Exfoliating
Microbead or “Polypropylene/Polyethylene” on the commercial label existing in the body scrub are made from the plastic and cannot be dissolved in the water.
The more we use, the more pollutants will accumulate in our natural ecosystem. So, we have an alternative choice to using a soap bag that has the same function as the microbeads to exfoliate the skin. Better to choose soap bags made from sisal (a natural fiber come from the agave plant) or cotton, try to avoid using plastic mesh soap bags. It is like microbeads cannot be decomposed and will be left on our planet a few decades or even a few millennia.
In conclusion, if you’re are an environmentalist who tries to put a little effort into protecting the precious planet by reducing using chemical cleaning products and plastic, choose the handmade soap.
And use the soap bag, it will make the handmade soap to be a user-friendly product and make us persists in using it.
