Having sex is all fun and games, until it's over.
Sex is just sex aside, it is still a rather vulnerable act in general.
We came across the 9 things to ensure happens after sex, in the name of aftercare, just so that you feel good about you and the other person(s).
Check them out down below.
1. Drink water
Sex is an activity and it can burn calories. So after sex, be sure to hydrate as much as possible.
2. Pee
Within 15 minutes after having sex, be sure to go to the bathroom and take a piss. Flushing out the bacteria from your urethra can reduce the chances at a UTI.
3. Clean your privates
To reduce your risks of infections, thoroughly wash your privates, so that again, a UTI doesn't happen.
4. Take a shower
Sex can be rather messy and dirty, take a shower thereafter to feel more clean.
5. Emergency contraceptive
If you're not on birth control or did not use a condom, then opt for an emergency contraceptive, to prevent pregnancy.
6. Communicate
Don't leave the room or become preoccupied on your phone. Talk to the person you just had sex with, tell them the good points and the bad. Make them feel safe, and not used.
7. Loose clothing
Choose to wear looser clothings for a couple of days after that, you have to let your privates breathe.
8. Cuddle
This builds intimacy, and should you not want it, at least be as warm as possible. It is after all, a vulnerable time.
9. Go again
Do it again, and again, and AGAIN (if you're able to), because why not?
