"I thought she was going to scold me for feeding stray dogs, but it turns out she wasn't. She handed me two RM50 notes," said Tan Jie Wei, who frequently feeds stray dogs. One day, a Malay woman stopped her car, and instead of reprimanding Tan, she handed her money, expressing a heartfelt gesture to help stray dogs. The woman mentioned, "I've been looking for you for a while," leaving Tan deeply moved.
Tan had previously shared on Facebook that she often feeds stray dogs and takes care of sick or injured furry companions. She recounted a touching incident that occurred when she was feeding stray dogs in the rain.
On that rainy day, a Malay woman stopped her car beside Tan and rolled down the window. The woman, as Tan later shared in an interview with Sin Chew Daily, immediately expressed her intention to donate money to help purchase dog food. She then handed Tan two RM50 banknotes, thanking her for dedicating time to care for these stray dogs.
The Malay woman told Tan that she had been trying to find her for a long time, wanting to make a donation, but they never crossed paths until that day. She expressed, "I've been looking for you for a long time, but never saw you. You're a kind person, always feeding the stray dogs here."
Tan revealed that the woman's words and actions at that moment brought her to tears. Initially hesitant to accept the money, Tan was moved by the woman's sincerity and decided to accept the kind gesture.
"I kept pushing away her hand, saying no, but she cried and told me to accept this small token of appreciation. She had seen me feeding stray dogs here a long time ago. I had to accept this woman's kindness, and I was so moved that I wanted to cry at that moment," Tan expressed.
Hailing from Kuantan, Tan Jie Wei expressed gratitude to the kind-hearted Malay woman who was willing to contribute money to help stray dogs. She emphasized that the joy she experiences while feeding stray dogs is something that cannot be bought with money.
