A shocking incident unfolded at a local restaurant last night when a group of masked men attacked and slashed four diners with machetes. The brutal assault occurred around 9:40 PM, leaving the community shaken.
According to District Police Chief Superintendent Abdul Malik Hasim, five victims sustained injuries and were immediately rushed to Tuanku Jaafar Hospital (HTJ) in Seremban.
"Police received a report from a member of the public regarding the attack on four local men aged between 44 and 59. The incident occurred within the Nilai police jurisdiction while the victims were dining at a restaurant," he stated.
Preliminary investigations revealed that five suspects, believed to be locals, arrived at the scene in a vehicle before charging toward the victims. Armed with machetes, the attackers launched their assault on the unsuspecting group, who were seated and having drinks.
Superintendent Abdul Malik confirmed that the victims are in stable condition following treatment at HTJ.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and authorities are actively investigating the case under Section 148 of the Penal Code for rioting with weapons and Section 326 for causing grievous hurt with a weapon.
Superintendent Abdul Malik urged the public to assist in the investigation. "Anyone with information related to the crime is advised to contact the nearest police station or the Nilai District Police Headquarters Operations Room at 06-7902222."
