The collaboration between Uniqlo and BT21 that everyone has been anticipating is finally here with its released official collection of Graphic Tees!

Don't worry... if you don't know what is BT21, let's get to know these adorable yet meaningful characters!
[About BT21]
BT21 are a group of cartoon/animated characters designed and drawn by the worldwide famous K-pop band BTS
Back in late September 2017, BTS joined as collaborators of LINE Friends’,and worked on a brand project, so this is how the characters are initially created by them.
The 7 members of BTS had spent a day trying to sketch the characters and come up with ideas of how they want their characters to look like in a LINE Friends Store in Seoul.
Of course, with the help of a team of designers, the characters were turned into detailed characters from rough ideas.
Because the BTS members created the characters themselves, the character tend to have similar personalities which reflect the members in real life.
The BT21 characters consists of 8 members : Tata, Mang, Chimmy, RJ, Koya, Cooky, Shooky, and Van, a character that looks like a grey robot, and it actually represents their beloved fans, ARMY.
Tata, is a love shape-headed character who wears pajamas , created by V. Tata is an alien with transforming powers. His limbs are able to bend and stretch into incredible lengths and shapes, which V said it is used to protect his BTS members. And the reason behind the weird shape head, it is because just like V in real life, he prefers something unique, rather that just looking pretty on the outside.
Mang is a dancing pony, as described by his creator, J-Hope. Mang never shows his true self and he keeps his face hidden by wearing a horse mascot. J-Hope lips becomes heart-shaped when he laugh, hence the heart-shaped nose on Mang. And the story behind his character name, just like his stage name, J-Hope, Mang means 'hope' (huimang). And J-Hope in real life, does have a bright personality where he always cheers his members up when there are hardships, which the BTS members and ARMYs call him their 'sunshine' or 'sunflower'.
Chimmy, as created by BTS member Jimin, is a playful puppy wearing a yellow hoodie, which he said represents the band’s overall image. According to Jimin, ‘The animal that goes best with BTS is a puppy,’ he said in the BT21 making process videos available on YouTube. ‘We love to hang out, and we’re active, which reminds people of puppies.’
Jin’s specialized character, goes by the name RJ, is an alpaca who is seen often wearing a parka, because he gets cold easily.According to his band members, RJ resonates Jin, which he has long neck that looks like an alpaca, especially when he eats.
Koya is a character created by the band leader, RM, which represents a sleepy blue koala. Koya has removable ears, and a purple nose which the character more meaningful because Purple is a colour mentioned by V that it represents love, such BTS and ARMYs always show their love to each other by saying 'Borahae' which means 'I purple you' in Korean.
Cooky is created by the youngest member of BTS, Jungkook, which represents a rabbit with a huge attitude, as portraited by the slanted Cooky's eyebrows. Just like Jungkook in rela life, the bunny works out a lot and is often seen imagining himself transforming into a huge muscle bunny when he gets angry.
The last character is created by BTS' Suga, goes by the name Shooky. He is a cookie with an intimidating attitude and a 'bad boy' kind of look, with a similar slanted eyebrows as Cooky's, which explains why he’s best friends with Cooky. However, Shooky has one weakness, he hates milk.
Now that you have come to get to know these characters, here is the full collection released on the official webstore. The collection has a total of 11 design which consists of 12 colors The price is considered affordabke to most people, which is priced $14.90 (about RM62+) each. The collection will be available from June 21 2019 onwards, at all Uniqlo stores across the world.
However, to those who are going to buy on tbe upcoming date, please be informed that :
Each customer can only buy one piece per design and color, which literally means each person can only purchase a maximum of 12 items for this particular UT Collection.

BTS has many fans and a lot of people may look at them as people who are obsessed over a K-pop band, but BTS certainly has comfort and help their
fans or non-fans with their music and contents they made.
If ARMYs want these T-shirt so much, it is certainly because these characters means a lot to them.
