Today marks the second day of Syawal, and PM Anwar Ibrahim spent his day 2 at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, with patients and healthcare workers.
He together with his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, visited some of the patients admitted in the third-class wards as well as hospital staff members before handing out some Hari Raya goodies.
"Alhamdulillah, I also donated to patients in the third-class ward and KLH staff on duty," he posted on his FB page.
Anwar also toured the hospital to take note of all of the fascilities and infrastructure available for patients and workers at the hospital.
"The Madani government will ensure primary attention is given to improving urgent facilities (at the hospital) as soon as possible," he said.
Previously, reports stated that HKL, one of the oldest hospitals in the country was in dire need of an upgrade, especially because of the high number of patients the hospital receives on the daily.
Some issues faced is the lacking of beds and the long-wait time of patients who need medical assistance.
"The celebration of Aidilfitri really knocks on the door of our conscience to increase the love and care for others, especially the sick and those living in poverty," he wrote, after thanking all staff members and healthcare workers under the ministry for all they do for the people of Malaysia.
