The situation varies when it comes to wheelchair accessibility. Some are quite accessible while others are significantly inaccessible. However, wheelchair friendly sidewalks in Malaysia is something that is to be desired.
A video went viral when a user known as Ahmad Faiz faced difficulty while using the route to the PWTC-Sunway Putra bridge. In the video, Faiz, who uses a wheelchair, experienced difficulties when passing through the area due to stalls placed on the sidewalk, narrowing the path.

According to him, the area has many other spaces that can be used to place the stalls instead of on the sidewalk where the passage space is very narrow and quite high.
Looking at the comments under the video, the public also criticized the actions of the trader who opened a shop on the sidewalk, causing inconvenience to wheelchair users.
