Apple Hong (@applehong) was once nicknamed "Malaysian Shu Qi" due to her resemblance to the Hong Kong actress.

She worked in the industry and was affiliated with Mediacorp from 1999 to 2011, but now she focuses on TV and ad-hoc projects. In the 2005 film One More Chance, she made her cinematic debut alongside Jack Neo.

She also rose to prominence as a result of her appearances on magazine covers, print advertisements, and TV commercials in both Malaysia and Singapore. Portrait of Home and The Little Nyonya were two popular programs in which she appeared.

Apple has finally been given the green light to mark her new identity as a Singaporean citizen, after acting since 2000. She took to Instagram to share photos from the Singapore citizenship ceremony.

Tanjong Pagar GRC and Radin Mas SMC hosted and organised the ceremony.

It featured a buffet with a magnificent statue of the merlion in the centre, as well as local delicacies and food.

The Minister of Parliament Joan Pereira was the one to grant Apple the certificate during the ceremony.

Also apparently, she has already acquired her pink identity card ahead of the ceremony in July of this year.

Her marriage, profession, and other aspects are all evidence of her good times in Singapore. Her next project is to really release her first music EP in Malaysia and Singapore. The eight songs on this EP span a variety of musical styles, including piano-pop, acoustic easy listening, and songs with elements of Chinese and Irish music.

Congratulations, Apple!
