The first official Lift trailer sees Kevin Hart attempt to steal a plane from 40,000 feet in the air. Lift is an upcoming Netflix original that is slated to premiere next year. The heist comedy comes two years after Hart signed a deal with Netflix to produce and star in four feature films, and also nabbed a first-look agreement for his studio, HartBeat Productions. Since then, he has starred in and produced Fatherhood and Me Time, but his latest looks very different from his previous projects.
Netflix has dropped the first trailer for Lift, which sees Hart portraying a master thief and formulating a plan to steal a plane mid-flight.
While Hart's two most recent Netflix movies saw him take on the role of a family man, this film puts him in a more nefarious role. In Lift, he and his crew are facing possible jail time for several crimes, including identity theft, money laundering, and transportation of stolen property. However, he's so confident in his abilities as a thief that he fully believes it's possible to steal a plane while it's in the air, teasing a wild heist.
