A couple found themselves in a nerve-wracking situation when they discovered that their youngest child had been left behind at the Pagoh Rest and Service Area (R&R) in Johor last Saturday. The couple had just begun their journey home from an R&R when they received a call from a gas station worker, where three Bangladeshis were assisting the child in contacting his parents and taking care of him.
The video captures their panic upon realizing their child was not in the car. At the time of the incident, one of their children in the backseat was reportedly oblivious to the situation, having already fallen asleep.

In a subsequent video shared on TikTok @Shahilashah, the couple made the decision to turn back at the Yong Peng exit in Johor to retrieve their son. Thankfully, no untoward incidents occurred, as three Bangladeshi gas station workers willingly stayed with the child at the location.
Building on the events of the previous video, one of the workers made the crucial call. "A person named Ismail used his mobile phone to contact me and bought food and water for the child," read the caption.
Expressing her gratitude, Shahila thanked Ismail and two other friends from the Pagoh R&R gas station, emphasizing that their kindness would be eternally remembered.
Taking a positive perspective on the incident, she acknowledged that not all foreigners harbour negative attitudes. "There are indeed foreigners with noble hearts," she added.
While the incident may not be entirely surprising, Shahila took the opportunity to advise fellow parents to glean lessons from the experience.
