One viral video has surfaced on social media, of a woman driving a stolen car in a dangerous manner, ultimately ramming against other cars during traffic stops. The incident reportedly happened at the Setapak Central traffic light intersection yesterday.
In the video, other members of the public are forced to intervene in order to get the woman out of the stolen vehicle-- a brick had to be thrown against the driver's side of the window before the woman was forcefully pulled out from the inside. The woman was then shortly arrested after passersby had initially detained her.
According to the Wangsa Maju District Police Chief Superintendent Ashari Abu Samah, the 38-year-old woman had stolen a Honda City in front of the Setapak Vocational College in Jalan Genting Klang yesterday, at around 2.30 PM. "In the incident, the owner of the car and his wife got out of their car without turning off the engine before the woman fled towards the city center," he added. "The car owner then, in a wimp, borrowed a security guard's motorcycle, to chase after the thief ."
Upon arrival at the traffic light intersection in front of Setapak Central, the car owner then discovered that his car was involved in an accident. Further investigation by the police revealed that the suspect has had 14 previous records related to criminal and drug cases.
Prior to the incident, the same woman was caught sniffing glue in a bus, which was caught on camera by the bus driver. Watch the videos below:
