Trust issues can often arise when dealing with those who put on a grandiose facade, complete with heavy makeup and extravagant attire for their public appearances. While not everyone falls into this category, it's a common occurrence in the service industry.
Imagine working part-time as a housekeeper in a picturesque rural vacation spot, where a single night's stay can reach a staggering RM 5,000. In this context, the housekeeper, who works at a hotel, shared a rather unpleasant experience on Facebook about the challenges she faces when cleaning rooms after guests have checked out.
"I've witnessed various behaviours. There's a distinct contrast between genuinely affluent guests and those who simply put on airs," she expressed.
This woman isn't complaining about her job, but it's the various antics she encounters each time she has to clean a room.
She believes that truly wealthy individuals come to vacation spots to relax and ensure the room is tidy before check-out. In contrast, those who act wealthy tend to leave rooms in a messy state. She also posted a picture of a panty liner hidden between the sheets.
Along with lipstick-stained tissues, dried cheetah-coloured contact lenses curving on the makeup table, half-broken fake eyelashes, food wrappers, shopping receipts, and more.
Adding to the complexity, some guests have a penchant for helping themselves to items within the rental rooms. Even freshly stocked toilet paper rolls, barely used, disappear and not just one but three newly opened packages. It seems that if it can be taken, nothing is off-limits, not even the ice in the fridge. Moreover, a few guests exhibit condescending behaviour, treating her as if she were a lower-class worker.
Despite her evident dismay at the actions of certain guests, the housekeeper remains hopeful that others will be more considerate and leave the rental rooms in a cleaner state when they check out.
