Public anger over the issue of stocking socks with the word "Allah" continues to simmer. There are no signs that the public's anger towards KK Mart will diminish anytime soon.
Recently, a clip has gone viral, amusing netizens, showing a group recorded while protesting. Based on the placard they were holding, the protest is believed to be directed at KK Mart.
However, the protest was not staged at the intended convenience store, but rather in front of a 99 Speedmart mini market.
The original video was uploaded from the Instagram Story @amsyar.bundle and was reshared on X.com @AdwinWidanta's page.
Many found amusement in the short 13-second video clip.
In the midst of it, many speculated as to why the protest was held in front of the wrong store.
Some claimed there might not be a nearby KK Mart in the area.
Meanwhile, some comments suggested that if the protest was staged on Jalan Raja Bot, there might only be space to gather in front of the 99 Speedmart mini market.
Coincidentally, there are many bundle shops in the area, making it convenient to attract passersby to join the protest.
Earlier, despite the founder of KK Mart publicly apologizing and urging the public not to boycott the business, attacks from Malaysians have not ceased.
Most recently, the KK Mart app was found to have been hacked last night. The app malfunctioned and displayed a "Final Warning" message.
However, after 10:15 am, the app was back to normal. The convenience store did not issue any official statements regarding the hacking incident.
Meanwhile, the police have referred the investigation papers regarding the issue of selling socks with the word "Allah" to the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC).
