You're a foodie at heart. But, are you showing off your Meal Of The Day the right way? Learn these 5 tricks to bring your golden shots to life!
1- Odd one out

Anything odd-numbered makes the whole picture stand out. So, shoot food elements in threes or fives for a balanced composition. Be careful because more than five items in a photo might get too messy.
2- Go off grid

Your camera phone has this cool grid feature. So, place your main subject off-center, instead in the middle of the shot. That gets people's eyes to travel around the photo.
Make sure to fill the empty parts with a pleasing flower, cutlery, or even your drink.
3- The flying food

Basic flat-lay on the table is a turn-off. To shake things up, lift your food like ice-cream, burger or hotdog with your hands. For pasta, steak, or sushi, use forks or chopsticks. Not the entire plate!
Get a playful shot of you in the middle of taking a bite. People will be dying to try that food themselves.
4- Tower shot

Stack your food into a tower for a striking effect. When you shoot from eye level, it looks even more photogenic. You can try with cookies, thick burgers, doughnuts or meat.
If it's not too heavy, ask a friend to hold the food tower in the air and snap away.
5- Don't zoom!

One camera feature that you must NOT use for food photos: the zoom in.
You will lose clarity & no one can tell what food it is. Try this: move your phone closer to the subject but leave some blank space around it.
