Whether it's a taint or a scratch, seeing flaws on your favorite bags really is a pet peeve. You'll then start to question yourself: "where did it go wrong?" or "weren't I being careful enough?". Well designer or not, putting extra TLC will help your bags last longer. As a bagaholic, I've practised these 3 methods on all my bags, and they still look good like the day I purchased them (even though preloved!).
Structure
Nobody likes a saggy bag! Not only does it ruin the shape, but the sag even harms the leather in the long run, especially if you stuff practically everything in your bag. How to fix this? Use a bag organizer! An organizer not only keeps your bag looking firm and in shape, you can even have easy access to your stuff.
Storage
It's not advisable to store your bags in a closed space or in their dust bags because these will quickly dry out your bags. If you have a small shelf, air out your bags by displaying them. Still, do not position the display shelf on an area that gets direct sunlight because even this can dry out your bags.
Maintenance
Cleaning your bags on your own can be risky because by using improper cleaning methods and solutions, they can get ruined. One useful tip is to send over your bags to a certified and legit bag spa that can restore your bags to their glory. The restoration can be expensive, but if you really need an expert for help, then bag spa is the one!
