#1 Font type
As creative as you may be feeling, it would be best to use either Cambria, Calibri or Helvetica, when typing out your resume. It is common and downright boring, but it is also clean and easy on the eyes.
#2 Margin
Maybe not as important in this day and age, however if you can manage an inch from all sides, it would give your resume a neat look, encouraging employers to be interested.
#3 Font size
Adjust sizes based on importance. So, if you'd like something to stand out even more, then maybe enlarging said fonts could help. Besides that, the options of caps locking, bolding and italicizing would also be good.
#4 Space
Having sufficient spacing in your resume could seem like something of aesthetics, and honestly speaking, it is. If your resume lacks breath, is messy and at the same time, aesthetically displeasing, then why even try?
#5 Precision
The common practice is highlighting as many achievements as you can remember and prove. But, remember that it's always quality over quantity. If it is 5 pages long, it is a turn-off, God knows you're not the only one trying for a job.
