Bentong: A recent wedding ceremony involving a local celebrity couple has come under fire for breaching the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP).
In a viral video taken at their glitzy wedding venue in Genting Highlands, many maskless guests were seen rubbing shoulders with one another without any social distancing.
According to a statement by the Bentong police chief, Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar, the police are currently tracking down all individuals who attended the ceremony.
He further noted that the offenders will be investigated under Rule 17 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures Within Local Area of Infection) Regulations 2021- for breaching Phase Four of the National Recovery Plan.
