Neelofa, a famous Malaysian celebrity and entrepreneur known for her religious image, recently launched a new product - something that targets the health for women's private areas.
Though it is in good nature, netizens however, are not happy, condemning both the suggestive visuals in their marketing and the unproven health claims in this new feminine health drink.
Named 'Isterix", this product is a fruit juice sold in sachets which claims to offer various health benefits including tightening the vagina, eliminating vaginal dryness and increasing breast size.
All which is aimed to promote enhanced sexual pleasures for couples.
Netizens took to X to voice out their concerns for the product and it's marketing, highlighting the clash between the founder's religious image and the provocative nature of her product's visuals. Not to mention, the outdated mindset of changing only a woman's body for a 'better' sexual experience.
The marketing of the product, featuring imagery that portray fruits as private parts is clearly meant to showcase multiple sexual innuendos.
As someone that is religious and wears the Purdah, a clothing for Muslimah to cover up their face, hair and neck, there seems to be a major moral conflict here, causing netizens to feel that this style of marketing isn't something that should've been greenlighted by the founder.
Netizens have also condemned the product for making claims that are not scientifically proven. Saying that there are no such herbs that can tighten a muscle or increase breast size.
