Celebrity preacher Syed Shah Iqmal Syed Mohammad Shaiful has been found guilty of rape charge.
Syed Shah, better known as Da’i Syed, was previously indicted for raping a 23-year-old woman at a condominium in i-City on September 11, 2019. He was later acquitted in April 2023.
However, the case was brought back against Da’i Syed today, whereby the Sessions Court has sentenced the 29-year-old to a 10-year imprisonment and three strokes of cane.
He is ordered to serve the sentence commencing immediately.
