This morning our Minister of Foreign Affairs, YB Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, delivered a piece of very good news to the people of Malaysia in his Facebook post.
In his Facebook post, he mentioned that the China-Asia Economic Development Association (CAEDA) has donated 100,000 facemasks to Malaysia and will arrive this morning. Also, he thanked the efforts of AirAsia for coming forward and helping to ship the facemasks from China to Malaysia for free.
"I was recently informed by the Malaysian Ambassador to China, Raja Nushirwan, that through the friendly relations of Malaysia and China, and also through the efforts of the Malaysian Representatives there, we have successfully obtained 100,000 facemasks from the President of the China-Asia Economic Development Association (CAEDA) who is very concerned about the situation in Malaysia," he wrote.
"Also, I thank the crew of AirAsia as I understood that the company volunteered to ship these supplies into Malaysia for free."
"The 100,000 facemasks will arrive this morning."
"We hope that it can help with our efforts in dealing with the #Covid19 outbreak," he concludes.
Isn't this a little bit of sunshine in the middle of the haze? Thank you, China for your generosity and kindness!
