According to the Health Ministry, up to date they have detected 5 "generation" of positive COVID-19 cases that was related to the participants of the last month Seri Petaling Mosque tabligh gathering.
There are 1,117 cases out up to 27th March from the tabligh cluster, and 711 of the cases had infected their families, which are the first generation.
While the family members infected their neighbours (the second generation), and then neighbours to their friends (third generation), and this has now continue to spread on to the fifth generations.
According to Dr. Hisham, the tabligh cluster has made up 55% of the total 2,031 cases (as per 27th March), and half of the 23 deaths are also linked to this cluster as well.
The gathering was held from 27th February to 3rd March of 2020, with about 16,000 people attended. About 1,500 of them are from 25 different countries. Up to date, 13k tabligh attendees were screened, with 1,117 samples tested positive and 5,646 were negative, and more still pending for result.
