According to the China's national health authority, China recorded a total of 11 COVID-19 cases for June 12, in which six cases are local transmission in Beijing and the other seven cases are asymptomatic cases.

Based on the report of Beijing Youth Daily, the major supermarkets in Beijing also removed salmon, from their shelves after there is COVID-19 virus found on chopping boards used for imported salmon at the market.
Beijing authorities also stated that more than 10,000 people at the market will take nucleic acid tests to detect COVID-19 infections.
Besides, the new cases also led to the city government to drop its plans to reopen schools on Monday for grade one, grade two and grade three students.
