A Twitter user @HajarSyafiqah posted a thread on the social media platform, intending to spread awareness regarding a series of mysterious phone calls she has been receiving for the past few days.
According to Hajar, she first received the call at 3:45 AM on the 5th of April and she picked it up, thinking it was an emergency. But what she heard on the other end immediately prompted her to end the call. A few days later, she received a few missed calls from the same number and decided to block it and made a police report.
The phone number apparently belongs to a man and when his call is picked up, you'd hear nothing but sounds of him whimpering and groaning. It is later revealed through the replies on Hajar's initial thread that hers is not an isolated case. Many victims have also come forward, confessing to being harassed by the same modus operandi, although with different phone numbers.
All victims admitted to being harassed in the same way that Hajar did, and this has apparently been going on after a while.

It's best not to pick up calls from an unknown number or better yet, install spam blocking apps like Caller ID, Spam Blocker, True Caller, etc to avoid picking up calls from unwanted strangers.
