As society gets more and more modern, it is now less of a taboo for couples to actually move in together before getting married. The final killer is something we all hate (well, there are people who love doing chores so keeping them in your life is a wise choice). When you're no longer staying with your parents, you can't just be expecting each other to do the chores.
