An unemployed man from Seremban was arraigned in Sessions Court today on two charges of committing physical sexual assault on a minor, last December.
The accused, Muhammad Nasiruddin A. Rahman, 22, however, pleaded not guilty as soon as the two charges were read before Judge Siti Noraida Sulaiman.
The man was accused of having sexual intercourse with the victim who was only 13 years old when it happened. The offenses were committed in a Toyota Avanza in the oil palm plantation area in Jalan Lampin, Selama between 5 to 6 PM on December 24th last year.
For both acts, the accused was charged under Section 14 (a) and Section 14 (b) of the Sexual Offenses Against Children Act 2017 (Act 792), which, if convicted provides for imprisonment not exceeding 20 years and whipping.
