As we take an up-close look at Chris Pratt's Mario in the newly released The Super Mario Bros. Movie trailer, it seems that the scathing reviews have already poured in way ahead of its official 2023 release.
Why? Because of Pratt's voice, that's why. Apparently some of the folks on Twitter aren't entirely impressed by Mario's so-called "Brooklyn" accent, when the character actually sounds Italian in the popular game.
The actor did previously share to the press that he was perfecting the Mario voice: "We tried out a few things and landed on something that I'm really proud of."
And although the rest of the reviews were on a more positive note, some disgruntled fans aren't feeling the sentiment.
