We often hear stories of landlords complaining about unruly tenants from hell, but this case from Singapore takes a dark turn.

In a shocking incident, a 23-year-old female tenant discovered that her landlord had entered her room and engaged in sexual acts using her underwear while she was away at work.

The Malaysian woman was horrified when she saw the footage from the closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera she had installed in her room on May 17th. She and her boyfriend had been renting a room in a house in Toa Payoh since June 2022.

According to her, there were four tenants in the apartment, including the married Singaporean couple who owned the house (the landlords) and another Malaysian couple.

Her boyfriend explained that they had installed the camera because they were warned that the landlord would bring people into the house when the tenants were not present. 

After setting up the camera, the woman received a notification on her phone around 2:30 PM on May 17th, informing her that someone had entered her room. 

When she viewed the footage on her smartphone, she saw her naked male landlord entering the room and taking her underwear to fulfil his desires.

"I was completely shocked and couldn't hold back my tears. I couldn't turn off the recording because I needed to capture evidence," she said. She immediately filed a police report that same evening and an investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, her boyfriend revealed that the landlord couple refused to apologize and refused to refund the monthly rent and room deposit amounting to $1,900. The woman has since found a new place to live. 

Following the incident, she discarded all her underwear as she couldn't determine which ones the landlord had touched. She also washed all her clothes.

This distressing incident has left the woman traumatized and fearful. She experiences anxiety when encountering people who resemble her landlord, even on public transportation. 

She has struggled to focus and has had to take multiple leaves from work but is now in a better state after seeking professional help.
