Despite facing scepticism from her own family, a determined 27-year-old female entrepreneur continues her business journey. Coming from a comfortable background and still unmarried, she has been running her venture for three years, facing challenging progress.
Living a paycheck-to-paycheck lifestyle, she manages her expenses, insurance, EPF contributions, and PTPTN loan repayments. She even supports her mother financially and covers her own living expenses, sometimes leaving her with only RM24.50 in her savings account.
Together with her business partner, they have experienced ups and downs, expanding from two to four employees. However, increased staffing has led to thinner income distribution. On good months, she earns a net income of RM3000, but it can dip to RM1000 during tougher times. Nevertheless, they remain grateful for their small achievements.
At the beginning of her entrepreneurial journey, her family, especially her mother, doubted her efforts, questioning the viability of her business and comparing her to her father's failed business. Despite numerous attempts to communicate and regular visits to the home, she often hears discouraging remarks.
While she values family and understands their concerns, she desires their genuine support and blessings for her choices. Striving to succeed, she believes hard work will eventually pay off. However, she cannot change her family's thoughts and attitudes, so she plans to reduce visits to home due to her busy schedule and challenging projects.
Despite occasional reluctance to return home, she hopes for understanding and acceptance from her family. As she stays on the right path, she believes that success in her career will come. Despite the doubts, she remains confident and determined.
