Weddings hold a special place in people's hearts, and one of the significant moments during the engagement process is the exchange of bridal dowry where both the bride and groom agree on the appropriate amount. 

Recently, a young Malaysian couple melted the hearts of netizens with their lavish engagement ceremony, where the bridal dowry amounting to RM50,000 was creatively arranged to resemble a cake.

This elaborate arrangement was specially crafted for the groom's engagement to his chosen partner, held at a residence in Batu Putih, Sandakan, Sabah. Nur Izz Abdullah, 25, the groom, and his fiancée, Ruziana Mohammad, 26, are set to tie the knot at the end of this year.

Nur Izz, who works in China, has been in a long-term relationship with Ruziana, who runs a bundle business. According to the groom's brother, the bride-to-be initially requested RM20,000 for her bridal dowry.

However, the groom decided to give RM50,000 as a gift, considering the ups and downs they've shared.

He mentioned, "My brother's fiancée has been very supportive financially, especially when he was studying to obtain his offshore license. So, there shouldn't be any dispute among netizens because my brother is financially capable of offering such a high bridal dowry amount."

Regarding the intricate arrangement, it took a day to complete with the assistance of three friends. "It wasn't difficult as we used protective coverings for the money, ensuring it remained intact," added the groom's brother.
