Want to create that perfect eyeshadow look they show in Youtube tutorials? But not sure how to start it?
We've boil it down to 6 easy steps to make applying eyeshadow a do-able task for you.

1. MAKEUP BRUSHES
To make applying eyeshadow an easier job, you'll need a set of good makeup brushes! Don't thrift on your brushes, as a set of good ones can last VERY VERY long. It's recommended that you go for synthetic brushes. They're more affordable and easier to clean compare to natural brushes. Besides, they tend to shed minimally!
2. BASE BASE BASE
Firstly, apply a layer of base eyeshadow on your eyelid. A shimmer shade is a safe go-to or you can pick your favourite base colour - your decision! If you're doing an every day look, a pro tip - place the colour onto the crease of your eyes when your eyes are open and work the colour down, towards the lash line.
3. 50 SHADES OF DARK
This step is to make your eyes pop and to make them look more energetic - concentrate a darker shadow in the crease of your eyes. Dip your brushes into the darker eyeshadow and sweep it horizontally across the eye socket. Another pro tip, choose a deep brown eyeshadow - this is a safe and flattering choice!
4. EYELINER
Eyeliner makes your lashes look thicker and enhances the effect of the eyeshadow. A tip if you're not good at drawing eyeliner (just like me) - start from the outside in. Place the eyeliner at the outer corner of your eye. CAREFULLY draw a wing upwards, at the same angle as your lower lid and trace a line along your upper lid then connect it to your wing.
5. HIGHLIGHT
The fifth step is to highlight under your eyebrows by applying a shimmery eyeshadow. You can also highlight the inner corner of your eyes with the same shade - this actually creates the effect of a larger, doe-eyed look because the eyes "look" further apart. It also helps to soften the look.
6. MASCARA
Complete the look with a few coats of mascara and you're good to go!
