JERANTUT - The body of a Malay man believed to have mental problems was found near Jerantut Community College here today.
Jerantut District Deputy Chief of Police, Deputy Superintendent Azman Mat Kamis said the body of Muhammad Zawawi Mohamad, 50, was found by members of the public without clothes at about 8 this morning.
“Based on the information obtained, the man from Kampung Doja, Jerantut is still single and unemployed.
"The victim has suffered from complications of mental illness for the past 10 years as a result of being involved in a road accident and received treatment at the Johor Bharu General Hospital," he said when contacted here today.
According to Azman, the victim's body was then taken to Jerantut Hospital for autopsy and the initial investigation of the case was classified as sudden death and no criminal elements.
