Here are the reasons why you should not watch Incantation:
#1 It is based on a true story
The line that sends chills down everyone's spine for sure!
Incantation is adapted from the true story of a cult family that caused a lot of havoc in Taiwan not long ago. While there were some refinements in terms of characters and storyline, this is not fiction. This is real.
#2 Found Footage Genre
The movie has a similar concept to horror movies like Paranormal Activity, As Above, So Below, Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum and The Host. They all are designed to look and feel like real filmed events that were lost and later discovered and made available to the viewer.
#3 Non-Linear Storyline
This just means that it was not put together in chronological order. The series of events are mixed and jumbled up together. You could lose focus or interest and even make you super confused at times. So if you're not the kind of person who pays attention when watching movies, then you definitely will not know what's happening throughout the movie.
#4 Not Suitable for Pregnant Women & Children
If you're a kid, a pregnant woman or a scared cat then you should DEFINITELY SKIP THIS MOVIE! It is not advised for you to watch it as the suffering that Li Ronan's daughter endures could cause some emotional disturbances. According to the tweet, the wounds look realistic and people with trypophobia should be warned!

As a way to get rid of the curse on his daughter, Li Ronan asks the audience to read the mantra he recites together with him and it is not just for laughs and giggles. It is allegedly to spread the curse among the audience members and remove it from his daughter.
So I will get cursed if I watch this movie? Hell no! No thank you! I am for sure not watching this movie!
