MR.DIY, with its successful establishment of over 1,000 branches across Malaysia, has become a popular choice for people seeking a wide range of affordable products. Offering convenience and affordability, MR.DIY continues to attract a large number of visitors.
However, despite their extensive product offerings and efforts to provide a pleasant shopping experience, MR.DIY seems to have fallen victim to irresponsible and unethical behaviour from some customers.

Recently, a viral post on Twitter shared by (bilaavbiscutes) shed light on a disturbing incident where a customer was caught swapping their worn-out slippers with new ones available on the shelf.
It appears that this act was done in an attempt to leave the store with a brand-new pair of slippers while discarding their old ones. Such incidents are not uncommon, as former MR.DIY employees have attested to the occurrence of customers casually swapping their old shoes or slippers with new ones.

Sebagai bekas pekerja Mr. DIY, benda ni sangat-sangat biasa terjadi ya. Dahlah bahagian kasut & selipar diletakkan kat hujung kedai. Jadi rezeki pencuri jelah.

This behaviour not only causes financial losses to the store but also normalizes stealing. It is crucial that such incidents do not become a regular occurrence, as they not only harm the business but also perpetuate unethical practices.
Hopefully, MR.DIY will take proactive measures to monitor and prevent such thefts from happening in the future, ensuring that customers uphold ethical standards and do not engage in dishonest practices like swapping used items with new ones.
