Tragically, a baby girl and a teenager died, potentially as a result of eating fried noodles and eggs that were taken back from a Gombak school function.
Assistant Commissioner Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir, the chief of the Gombak District Police, reported that the first victim, a 17-year-old boy, had diarrhea after consuming food that his mother had brought back from the event last Saturday.
The boy's parents had diarrhea as well. At 1:30 PM yesterday, the kid was discovered unresponsive and later declared deceased at Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
In the second instance, yesterday at 10:45 AM, a two-year-old daughter developed a fever, vomiting, and diarrhea.
She had also eaten meals that her father, the school's security guard, had brought.
The forensics department at Selayang Hospital has received the remains of both victims, and the case has been classified as sudden death.
