On 27th March, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, announced the 2020 People's Economic Stimulus Package (PRIHATIN), and soon after that, "Makcik Kiah" becomes the central of highlight. The name became a Trending hashtag on Twitter. People tweets and make Memes about this "Makcik Kiah". And people begins to curious :-

Well, the answer is no and yes. The truth is, she is just an analogy the Prime Minister used to explain the examples of PRIHATIN benefits.
Makcik Kiah was use to represent a working class citizens, selling banana fritters (pisang goreng), who is facing financial problem due to the spread of Covid-19 and MCO. Her family members consists of her husband and a son.

Makcik Kiah would be eligible for the PRIHATIN benefits amounting to RM1,600, as her household income is less than RM4,000.
Her husband, an e-hailing driver, who was previously a government retiree, would receive RM500 in e-hailing cash aid and another RM500 in pension aid. Also, Makcik Kiah's husband is a RELA volunteer, which entitles him another RM200 monthly until the outbreak ends.
Makcik Kiah's son, who is unmarried and living together with them, will receive a RM800 under the Bantuan Prihatin Nasional for singles.
From the Bantuan Sara Hidup (BSH) handout, their household would also receive a balance of RM600.
