Based on reports, a couple of days back (14 June), Song Joong-Ki and his wife Katy Louis Saunders welcomed a baby boy.
His official fancafe announced that the couple welcomed their first child, and his post was accompanied by an adorable photo of his newborn son holding his finger.
"I am currently in Rome, my wife's hometown, and we have welcomed our baby, a healthy son.
"Both the baby and his mother are in good health. I am happily taking care of my family with a grateful heart," he wrote as translated by Soompi.
In his letter, the 37-year-old shared that his son was the most precious gift to him and his wife as it had been their biggest dream to start a family.
He also thanked his fans and the many people who have supported him and Saunders, and fans sincere, unchanging love.
"I sincerely wish for there to be great joy in your lives too," he said.
The two's relationship first came to light when he came to Singapore with her on Dec 7. His agency confirmed on Dec 26 that he was in a relationship with someone.
He then announced his marriage to Saunders on Jan 30.
Previously, the Decendant Of The Sun actor was married to South Korean actress Song Hye-kyo (2017 to 2019).
