Teen Furious That Parents Won't Buy iPhone 15 for Him, Claims It's About Being 'Excluded'

The Apple iPhone 15 series is set to launch in Malaysia on September 29th, and many Apple enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating getting their hands on the new device. Recently, a junior high school student in Taiwan took to the internet to complain that he wanted to buy the iPhone 15 with his classmates, but his parents refused, leaving him frustrated.

According to reports, the original poster anonymously posted on a community forum seeking advice from fellow internet users on how to convince his parents to buy him the iPhone 15. His reason? He had made a pact with his classmates to upgrade to the new iPhone 15, and not doing so would lead to him being "excluded," a situation that baffled him.

"Is there any way to make my parents buy the latest iPhone 15 for me? Please don't suggest that I should buy it myself; I'm just a junior high school student and can't work yet. Otherwise, I would have bought it myself! All of us in the class have agreed to upgrade together. I told my dad yesterday that I want a new phone, and he asked why I would want to replace my iPhone 14, which I've had for less than a year. My mom chimed in, saying that everyone else has iPhone 11, so I shouldn't be too greedy. It's not about greed, don't you understand? Our whole group is upgrading, and if I don't, I'll be the odd one out! How will they look at me? It's not like we can't afford the phones. What's wrong with them being so stingy!"

Internet users responded with criticism:

"If you don't have the means, don't pretend."

"We don't need classmates like these!"

"Your mom still uses iPhone 11, and you have the audacity to ask for a new phone?"

"If you get excluded for something like this, then it's time to find a new group of friends."

"Kids these days are really spoiled."

"If you have the ability, buy it yourself. Asking for handouts and feeling entitled without contributing to society or the family is wrong. You chose bad friends, thinking they were your best buddies."

In a later update, the original poster, now infuriated, stated that he didn't need internet users to lecture him.

"I came here to ask for advice on how to get my parents to buy it, not to be lectured by you. My parents want me to get along with my classmates, and we've always done everything together as a group. If I'm the only one who doesn't upgrade, I'll be excluded, okay? If you don't understand, don't act like you know everything. It's a waste of my time!"
