After indulging in the dating scene for quite some time, this guy has decided to give up completely on the idea of a relationship— and he has his reasons.

A man has come forward recently to share his (failed) dating stories on the relationship-focused group on Facebook. According to him, dating tends to suck your bank account dry, to put it simply. As a man with quite a stable income of about RM 8-11 K a month, somehow it appears not enough still to land a good woman, as this man's anecdote entails.

He also noted if he were to calculate all that he had spent on the women he dated, he could have saved enough for his early retirement. The most absurd detail of his story is perhaps the fact that he was once dumped for one absolutely ridiculous reason: for giving his partner a RM 1.5 K gift, which is—apparently— not up to standards. Wow, brutal.

This begs the question: where do we draw the line when it comes to matters of finance in a relationship? Should the man be the sole provider in a relationship, or should there be a balance between both parties?
