The son-in-law of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and a lawyer have been listed as individuals wanted after being issued a red notice by Interpol.
Quoting a report from Utusan Malaysia, the confirmation was made by the Chief of National Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.
"Yes, it's true. Red Notices have been issued against them," he said to the newspaper.
On August 15th, Razarudin reportedly stated that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) made an oral request for a Red Notice against Datuk Seri Muhammad Adlan Berhan, 48, and lawyer Mansoor Saat, 69.
Razarudin also informed that his team would closely collaborate with the anti-corruption agency to repatriate the two wanted individuals.
Adlan and Mansoor are sought by MACC to assist in an investigation involving a project related to the registration, recruitment, and storage of biometric data for foreign workers in a ministry.
MACC stated that both individuals left Malaysia last May.
However, Adlan and Mansoor subsequently released a statement through their lawyer, denying that they had fled from the law.
