Following the earlier report of green-screen issue from iPhone 12 users, thousands of iPhone 12 users has reported another serious cellular issue to the officials and forums regarding signal dropped.
The issue was first spotted by reporters from 9TO5Mac, when over 500 iPhone 12 owners have sent in reports to Apple's Official Support Communities, saying that they are experiencing sudden drop of both 5G and 4G reception, leaving them without connectivity even when they are in strong signal areas. Soon after, more reports surfaced over the Internet.
According to report, the issue is affecting users from worldwide, including US, Japan, India and UAE. Affected users described that the reception strength of their newly bought iPhones suddenly weakened before disappearing. Some said that the signal can return in just a minute or less, while some others have to take further actions like restarting the phone, toggling Airplane mode, or reinsert their SIM card.
There are also report saying that the new iPhone 12 will automatically go signal-less after actively using it for 20 minutes at a time. While others said that the issues occurs when they are on the move and the phone failed to effectively switches between towers.
Users are still waiting for reply from Apple as of today (4/12/2020). Let's hoped they have a reasonable reason and are able to get it fixed.
