Talk about long staycations, this guy took staycationing to a whole new level!
As we move into the recovery period of the COVID-19 pandemic, it still seems strange for many of use to make plans to go out, or dine in or even to go on vacations with our family, especially since we have been cooped up in our home for so long.
Being outside seems like a very unsafe and threatening activity and we'd rather just chill at home on the sofa watching Netflix. We have found peace and joy from staying home by ourselves!
Even being on vacation, we'd rather book a fancy Airbnb or hotel so that we can spend our time enjoying the facilities within our vacation home instead of exploring the city. Staycationing is the new trend, and we can't get enough of it.
We aren't the only ones though, a local man named, Adnan Aziz recently spent 46 nights at the Hard Rock Hotel and provided his Facebook friends with a detailed review of his stay.
Through his post, it is understood that he stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel in Penang from the 20th of December 2021 to the 4th of February 2022 and it cost in an estimated total of RM250k
According to him, he added that the prices of the rooms that we assume he booked was RM880++ a night for the Seaview Studio Suite with bathtub and RM4500++ a night for the King Suite with private pool.
He shared that throughout his stay at the hotel, he noticed how the whole vibe was very cheerful and they followed the SOPs as well. Everything from the pool to the customer's bags were sanitized.
He also shared the prices for the cabanas by the pool, and he even shared that the first 2 cabanas have access to the pool, the 3rd and 4th cabana has a sea view while the 5th and 6th one is more private.
He did say that parking is a little tricky at the hotel and suggested you book the reserve VIP parking.
He did mention how all the staff at the hotel were friendly and the best! According to him they were all cheerful and treated them like family. Some staff even took them out to eat, bought them food, brought them homecooked meals and even invited them to weddings.
Overall he said he had a good stay and it was the way the staff treated them that made them stay there longer.
After his post, he even shared a few videos of his stay there on his personal FB page:
The post gained the attention of netizens, who like us, were shocked that the local man stayed there for so many nights! Some even suggested he just buy the hotel!
Here are some of their reactions:
