According to the New Straits Times, Senior Minister (Security cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that Malaysians returning from overseas will undergo swab tests for COVID-19 upon arrival at airports. For those who tested negative for COVID-19, they are allowed to complete their mandatory 14-day quarantine period at homes starting June 10.

He further mentioned that they are required to download the MySejahtera application so that their movements will be monitored and wear a quarantine wristband for identification purposes.
"Anyone who fails to adhere to the compulsory quarantine requirement and SOP will be fined RM1,000 and be taken to court," he said.
The results of the swab test will be made available between one and two hours. Therefore, they will not be placed at specific centers while waiting for their swab test results. If there is any special case where they have to wait two days for their results, they will be quarantined in a designed area.
