Clubhouse is a social platform from the United States and recently has been popularised after introduced to Asia such as China, Taiwan and Malaysia.

Many netizens think that sound is more intimate than words, so supporting Clubhouse is one of the few excellent platforms.

The "Clubhouse Invitation Code" was once on the hot search list, and the number of user registrations skyrocketed in the short term.

Have you registered for Clubhouse?

Here's What You Need To Know About Clubhouse

1. Clubhouse is currently only available on Apple iOS devices, and the Android version is expected to be available soon.

It is reported that Clubhouse was officially launched in March last year and has now attracted more than 2 million users. However, it seems likely that Clubhouse will still take some time to make its way to Android devices.

2. New user registration requires an invitation code.

One of the biggest features of Clubhouse is the "invitation only" system, each user can only invite two friends to join. If you don’t have an Clubhouse invite, you can now reserve your username through a waitlist. Google had opened up the registration process to everyone without requiring an invite. Depending on how many of your friends are already using Clubhouse, they may receive a notification letting them know that you’ve reserved your username and downloaded the app. When this happens, they get the option to wave you through even if they don’t have an official invitation to send.

3. Clubhouse chat is via drop-in audio only.

After joining the "room", users can only interact and communicate by voice, and cannot use text or pictures in the chat room. Go online anytime to chat with the people you follow, or hop in as a listener and hear what others are talking about. Essentially, the app places less of an emphasis on posting like other social media platforms.

4. The invitation code is selling online for high price now.

The price of the Clubhouse invitation code is nearly US$100 (approximately RM406) on eBay. It is reported that Taobao website also sells invitation codes of up to 400 yuan (about RM251), which is enough to show that the charm of Clubhouse is super hot. Sharp-eyed netizens also found that Shopee Malaysia sells Clubhouse invitation codes, and the price ranges from RM20 to RM88.

5. Live chats with entrepreneurs and celebrities.

Many international celebrities, popular stars and youtubers such as Kanye West and Jackson Wang have "opened virtual rooms" to share their experiences. In addition to getting to know people from different places around the world, there also also many nonsensical or big-hearted topics in the conversations of these people.

6. Clubhouse is officially banned by China now.

China banned Clubhouse just after Clubhouse became popular due to many sensitive and controversial topics such as 'Tian An Men incident' and 'Concentration Camp in Xin Jiang' were discussed. As a result, just in a few days, Clubhouse ushered in government censorship and blocked from the internet in China consequently.
