In a move that has shocked many, a Malaysian man has launched a boycott campaign, not against a product or an organization, but against the English language itself. The man, who remains unnamed, took to Facebook to share his controversial views, urging others to join him in keeping their families away from learning English.
The campaign was publicized through a viral post in the Facebook group Rakan Pesara Tentera, where the man emphatically stated, "Tell your kids to not learn the English language!" His call to action did not stop there. The man also expressed his disdain for subjects like Mathematics and Science, urging parents to discourage their children from taking an interest in these critical areas of education.
"Maths & science are subjects that don't bring any benefits! Educate your kids about it, make sure they're not interested in the subjects," he wrote in a follow-up post. He went on to question the value of understanding these subjects, asking rhetorically, "Don't we look stupid if we can't understand it?"
The man's posts quickly garnered attention, sparking widespread outrage among social media users. Many were quick to criticize his stance, pointing out the significant benefits of learning English as a second language, as well as the essential role that Mathematics and Science play in education and daily life.
